Company structure

Seratec Verkehrstechnik was found on 25.8.1994 as a company with limited liabilities (GmbH) and is registered at the company register in Seftigen, Switzerland

With effect 19 September 2008 Seratec Verkehrstechnik GmbH has change its name to SYNICS RAIL GmbH.

Head Office

SYNICS RAIL GmbH is located at Airport Business Center 66 in 3123 Belp, Switzerland.

Activities

The company is involved in the national and international trade with electronic equipment, principally in the area of public transport.

Among it’s main customers are urban and suburban transport companies, national and private railway operators and other operators of large vehicle fleets (eg. Postal, Fire brigade etc.)

But also vehicle manufacturers and suppliers are among the customers.

Products

The journey data recording system ASIS is 100% developed and manufactured by SYNICS RAIL GmbH and SYNICS AG in Switzerland. This also includes all system accessories, like evaluation software, PLC programs and equipment firm ware.
Peripheral equipment and accessories like pulse generators, transducers and display instruments are sourced from well known foreign companies with extensive railway experience.

Operational structure

SYNICS RAIL is mainly involved in marketing and sales activities. However, project specific engineering and/or support tasks, Commissioning etc. can also be performed.

Production, assembly and final testing of our journey evaluation systems TRAS are carried out by our partner company SYNICS AG in Zurich.

Currently, thirteen employees are engaged in the introduction of our products in the world market and to optimise the system. In addition we have a growing number of local agents in various countries and continents.

All employees have a considerable know-how in the area of journey data recording and in some cases, have been activ in this field for many years.

Activities abroad

In countries, where SYNICS RAIL cannot maintain a presence in its own right, we are looking for suitable agents with the necessary railway experience to distribute and support our products. In a number of countries this has already been achieved.
